This maisonette project is an open-plan apartment. We attempt to express space through a wide-open plan layout.
The layout of the apartment did not change radically. The original layout was segregated into pockets of space - resulting in a lack of natural daylight and air circulation. Most of the walls were removed to introduce more natural daylight into the house, bringing an abundance of airflow into the house.
This improved visual connectivity tremendously between spaces while maintaining the cosiness and calmness within the apartment.
